Find a poem you have read in the past, that has had a significant impact on you (either positive or negative). Print out a copy of that poem and write a response to the poem, reflecting on the following questions:
- What do you notice about the writing style, word choices, or other poetic patterns?
- What emotional impact or power does the poem have? You can consider its mood, tone, or other "intangible" qualities you observe.

- For Monday, you will draft a one-page, typed and double-spaced journal entry from the perspective of one member of your society, two hundred years after its establishment. You may create a character in any social or power position, and you will convey that character's observations and impressions of the society.
